After an initial exam, the patient can schedule their LASIK procedure. During the procedure, the doctor numbs eyes with anesthetic drops before reshaping corneas with a laser system. The actual procedure takes about 10 minutes, and downtime is about a day or two. If patients are deemed unable to have the LASIK procedure due to conditions such as thin corneas or eyelessness, they can opt for PRK surgery instead or receive refunds.
