CrossFit's fitness coaches work closely with their clients in standard fitness and fundamental movement classes that improve basic control, trim fat, and bolster muscle mass. Gym attendants unleash pent-up sweat droplets in daily classes comprised of varying exercises, such as body resistance, weightlifting, squats, push-ups, and arm-wrestling Michelangelo's David. The randomized nature of each class ensures bodies stay out of exercise ruts and that each muscle gets its turn in the fortifying spotlight. Through the fundamentals sessions, students practice a slew of foundational techniques to reduce the chance of injury, increase performance, and easily discern a jump rope from a submarine sandwich. Coaches also bestow a constant stream of inspirational pep talks and offer nutrition advice to their physique-building pupils. For best results, CrossFit recommends attending at least 2 classes per week.
