Large-mouth bass, sunfish, yellow perch, and pike are just some of the fish you’ll find roaming the depths of Great Canadian Hideaway’s 250-acre lake. A natural beach abuts the manmade lake, and away from shore, a 1,500-square-foot heated pool provides an alternative aquatic option once it opens in late June. The park’s acreage is crisscrossed by bike trails, encouraging visitors to bring their own bikes or build them by foraging for fallen handlebars.
The Hideaway’s comfortable campground features grass lots with fire pits, plenty of mature trees, and picnic tables. Washrooms with hot showers are on hand for added convenience, and a concession booth happily sells camping essentials such as firewood, bug spray, and waterproof copies of Walden.
