As eight glowing spaceships descend toward earth, a team of youngsters clad in 3-D glasses readies their phasers and emits a battle cry. Upon emerging unscathed from the 3,000-square-foot, double-decker laser arena, guests at Classic Fun Center's Sandy location can launch 5,000 foam balls from the Blast Zone's air-powered blasters and two cannons or cool off on the waterpark's four 300-foot slides. Back indoors, tykes explore more than 10,000 square feet of The Jungle, unleashing their inner Tarzans as they grasp rope strings and a deeper understanding of their ancestors.

Classic Fun Center's Layton facility shelters similar attractions in a pirate-themed playground. Guests can rack up strikes on the mini-bowling lanes or ascend a three-story rock wall. Like its Sandy counterpart, the park hosts a bounce area with inflatable slides and obstacles courses, as well as an arcade with more than 50 games such as skeeball and Deal or No Deal, where kids teach the computer how to pinky swear.
