Scout Notes: This, my friends, is where all the magic happens. Before you go thinking about something your mom wouldn’t be so happy with, let me clarify. This is the original Covet location owner Adrienne Lee Wiley opened back in July of 2009 after self-teaching jewelry making and creating pieces her friends and family just couldn’t get enough of. Now, she works from the studio loft that overlooks the store to create all handmade pieces like gold bangle bracelets boasting a colorful gem, whimsical necklaces featuring charms like birds, hot air balloons, feathers and dainty roses, and rings made from vintage cameos from London circa the 1960’s. In fact, most of the designs here are vintage-inspired, updated with a modern twist. While there’s a range of different styles, many repeat themselves in different types of jewelry, so that it’s easy to put together an entire collection of your favorite design, from earrings to bracelet to ring. The staff here is super friendly and knowledgeable about the jewelry, but their skills go even further than that; they’re also trained jewelry artisans, so they can make adjustments and personalize a piece faster than you can say I’ll take it! Mixed in among the jewelry are other delightful gifts (and remember, you can give yourself a gift) like the uber popular Papaya pouches, bags that are hand-selected by Adrienne and fog-fighting scarves.
