When trying to lure friends away from their computers to have some fun, stop fishing for ideas and keep reading. Today's WagJag will get you hook, line and sinker: $20 for 10 individual fishing passes including tackle and bait at International Trout Ponds (a $50 value).

International Trout Ponds offers an escape from the everyday just outside the city (about an hour from Toronto). Their 10.5 acres are teeming with six ponds set against a peaceful background of grass and trees. Grab your tackle and bait and head for one of their two family trout fishing ponds, a sizeable bass/pike/perch catch and release pond, a fly fishing pond (additional cost), a duck pond or a swan pond. Perch, bass and pike may be caught and released while trout must be kept and will be charged an additional $10 per pound.

But fish aren't the only animals you'll encounter on your visit; swans, Indian Runner ducks - a group of 11 ducks who love travelling together around the farm - and maybe even peacocks enjoy strolling about the grounds. With no fishing licences required, anyone skilled or new to fishing can enjoy an afternoon of reeling at International Trout Ponds.
