With the Legalization/Elopement Package, an officiant can travel anywhere within 50 kilometres of Vancouver, such as a home, restaurant, park, or airport, to perform all the legal actions necessary to complete a marriage. Upon arrival, the officiant usually takes between 5 and 7 minutes to complete the knot-tying procedure while two witnesses look on. Couples may speak with their officiant prior to the ceremony and bring their own readings if desired and must have their marriage licences on hand. They may also bring their own witnesses, though the officiant can call upon passersby to act as witnesses if needed.
Young, Hip & MarriedAs owners of Young, Hip & Married, Shawn and Erica Miller draw on their own experiences as a happily married couple to help others start or continue steadily down the road to wedded bliss. Their team of wedding officiants—each fully licensed in Canada—hitch engaged couples with a focus on accurately reflecting their personalities. The Your Rocking Wedding package includes a custom ceremony and rehearsal, travel to the wedding location, and all legal procedures. Alternatively, the Legalization/Elopement Package strips the act down to the nuptial necessities for an extremely casual affair, including only the services and travel expenses of the officiant, the legal paperwork, and 5 to 7 minutes of proceedings—the same amount of time it takes the power of true love to turn a piece of charcoal into a diamond.
Shawn and Erica help couples keep love alive through marital coaching and by sharing helpful tidbits about their own relationship's path. Pre-marital coaching is also available to help engaged couples prepare for the difficulties and tribulations that may lie ahead, such as deciding what to name the ficus.
