- Teacake, recipient of the 2010 Best of the East Bay award for Best Cupcake, is divulging its baking and decorating secrets to groups of fewer than ten in these ?Bake With Teacake? cake pop classes.
- The dreamy Teacake kitchen is stocked with premium ingredients like Belgian chocolate, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar bourbon vanilla, sweet-cream butter and locally sourced eggs for optimal flavor.
- With Teacake BAKES, the bakers here take turns baking treats sold at the store with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the charity of that baker?s choice.
The cake/lollipop hybrid has taken over sweet shops and coffee shops nationwide (visit a Starbucks and you?ll see). Now, Gilt City members have the opportunity to create these special confections in the sweet-smelling confines of Teacake Bake Shop?s kitchen.
At the intimate baking class, the Teacake bakers will supply you with the ingredients to make cake pops in two of their best-selling flavors: classic chocolate and pink velvet, with coating options including white or chocolate. You?ll be front and center in the kitchen armed with sticks, eggs, flour, frosting, aprons and decorations provided by Teacake.
After the mixing and baking, it?s all about the decorating. In this second part of the class, you?ll adorn specialty cake pops for everyday and special occasions.
At Teacake, cake on a stick becomes pop art.
