‘Sagarmatha’ – as the back of their business card informed me – is the Nepali name for Mount Everest, although I would be quick to point out that eating at the Sagarmatha Nepaliese restaurant is far less arduous than scaling the famous mountain. And this great deal, a complete curry meal for two with a $20 voucher for just $39, is all the incentive you’ll need. This great little suburban eatery – the very first Nepalese restaurant in Adelaide – is a step up from your average corner take-out but with a nice, relaxed atmosphere and an accessible menu. From the six curries on offer in this deal there is something for everyone, ranging from Butter chicken (for the pedestrian) to slow-cooked Goat curry (for the open-minded), not to mention the two vegetarian options – that’s right vegos, you’ll actually have a choice! But be warned; curry is one of those deceptive meals. The deal also includes rice, naan and drinks for two, we were soon busting our belt-lines trying to find room for that final bite. As for the taste, the proof is in the pudding – or, more accurately, the curry – and Sagarmatha has a steady crowd.
