Nineteenth-century pirate ships loom just beyond a 12th-century castle courtyard, which itself lies just past ancient ruins pocked with divots; it’s the landscape of either a poorly researched history thesis or a thrilling round of miniature golf at Crete Family Fun Center. After polishing their putts at the 18-hole course, golfers can work on their long-range technique on a 25-tee driving range or discover an entirely new swing at the batting cages.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, indoor entertainment includes a Cannonball Wars arena, in which teams fire foam balls into the opposing crew’s net.
