Aspiring riders will kickflip into high gear with a killer deal that's definitely not a fakie: Pay $50 for four group lessons (regularly $100), $115 for a four-day skateboarding camp (regularly $272), or $145 for a five-day skateboarding camp at C.J. Skateboard Park and School (regularly $340). You'll receive full equipment rentals, including knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads, and a skateboard. Boys and girls, ages 5 to 13, are invited to ollie over to C.J.'s Etobicoke facilities for one-hour group lessons, held Tuesday and Thursday at 5 p.m. and weekends at 10 a.m. that teach safe riding techniques, coordination, balance, and teamwork. Newbies to intermediate riders can elevate their speed, trick, and maneuvering skills at full-day camp, that runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with late pick-up available until 7:30 p.m. Under a stellar team of experienced instructors, your kids will hit the half-pipe in high-riding style.
