During the approximately 2.5-hour piloting experience, students spend an hour to 90 minutes performing ground tasks such as calculations, fuel checks, and navigation. Then, they board the plane and take the controls in the air during a flight that totals 45 minutes from engine start to landing.

As a boy growing up in Beirut, Jules Selwan often dreamed of starting up the engines on a commercial plane and soaring above the coastal city. After obtaining his flight license, the pilot began to explore beyond his native country, landing at Carp Airport. In roaring Piper and Cessna aircraft, Selwan and his crew provide instruction in a range of areas and levels, including courses that culminate in recreational pilot permits or private pilot licenses. Students often travel from around the globe, and courses are available in English, French, German, Arabic, and Spanish, allowing new pilots to read all of the secret messages painted on peoples' rooftops.
