In high school, Mother said that nothing good happens after dark. We're assuming she had never heard of the Firefly Run in City Park. Today's deal will prove that Mom doesn't always know best: Pay $17 to register in this nighttime 5K race (a $35 value), and light up the town on August 17 as you run or walk. Starting at 8:30 p.m., set the evening aglow with the included two LED lights, 3M reflective material, and glow-in-the-dark bracelet. You'll also receive a timing chip, bib, race T-shirt, and admission to the post-race celebration -- where an iPad will be awarded to the best dressed of those participating in the optional costume contest. A portion of the race proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, so you'll be doing something good for the community -- making Mom proud after all. Want more?
