Ideal for beginners and experienced alike, this 3hr lesson will introduce you to the exciting sport of sailing in a safe and controlled way. The lesson begins with a short safety briefing and an explanation of the basic parts of the yacht, as well as use of clutches, winches, halyards and sheets. You go on to learn how to hoist and trim the sails, sail across the wind, helm the boat on different points of sail and to tack and gybe. A great way to meet new friends, have fun and get out in the sun and salty fresh air! Apres sail refreshments are available in the club's waterside bar. All safety equimpment is provided!What you Get / Programme:10:00 hrs - Safety brief- Plan for the day.- Use of clutches, winches, halyards, sheets.- Explanation of basic parts of the yacht.10:15 hrs - Depart dock- Prepare and hoist sails, - Cruise in to Sydney Harbour.- Sailing across the wind.
