The rising stars of MMA continue their climb through the professional ranks when Davis County Fight Night crashes into the Davis Conference Center on August 18. Presented by Total Mayhem, which has organized local fighting events since 2008, the full evening of fisticuffs begins at 6 p.m. with weigh-ins at Lokals in Layton City, where fans can watch for free as competitors step onto the scale to determine how much they would cost at a grocery store.

Then, at 7 p.m., the spotlight shifts to the ring when a fight card of seven scheduled bouts starts to unfold, culminating with a main-event battle between Skyler Frazier and Weston Wilson. Special guest MC Big Budah supplies the night’s tunes, and prizes and giveaways send attendees home with keepsakes far less painful than a black eye.
